Wipaire's Wonders

Here's some pictures of what the Beavers in Wipaire's maintenance hangar have been up to since I last visited them...
Since I last saw N17393 in St. Paul, it's been completely converted to a turbine Boss Beaver, and made it's first flight a few weeks ago. It now wears N554BB and belongs to the Chevron Oil Company. It still has serial number 388, probably the only thing on it that didn't change. This Beav was built in 1952.
N5CC is shown here with it's new paint job, Wipline floats, and a newly rebuilt engine. This Beaver holds serial number 1167 and was born in 1957.Before and After pictures of N9028, my dynamic deHavilland that I fell in love with at Oshkosh in 2007. The serial number is 803 and it debuted in 1955. It's new registration is N317DH, and thankfully it's kept it's radial. A turbine engine on this one would have been heartbreaking...
