Snowed in at Wipaire and waiting for some attentionI met N17393 in Oshkosh in 2006, and since then, Wipaire Inc. has bought it and moved it to Minnesota, where I ran into it again a few months ago. The next time I see it, it will have undergone a complete restoration, and will be behind a turbine engine. It will become Wipaire's newest Boss Beaver that will be going to Chevron Oil Company. At the time of this post, it's either completed or nearly done, and I'm counting on Wipaire to send over some pictures of it when it's finished.
The saddest part of all: N17393 surrenders it's radial.
Without wings, wiring, engine or instruments.
Hardly recognizable as a Beaver, it will look a thousand times better than this when it leaves the hangar.
The information I've previously posted on this Beav can be found on the blog by searching Archives for August 2006. N17393 was built in 1952 and holds serial number 333.
